I don't think she's "schizophrenic". What rings true about the Bammer's work is that she's navigating a world of people who completely delude themselves and believe in bullshit and want to drag everyone else into it like the temp recruiter in the story. It's pretty universal stuff. And she has OCD.

Haha. Interesting call with the third one. You should've gone all in. Perhaps like a sequel to My Neighbor Totoro since there is a Catbus. Therein lies the game.

I probably puked right after the conception scene, so I remember nothing else. Oddly, I saw the movie on a regular broadcast tv channel in NYC that played b-movies on Sunday afternoons. I think that Simpsons episode is what finally helped to unlock the mystery.

When I was a kid, I saw the movie "Demon Seed" on tv, but at the time I didn't catch the title. I just remember it being so bad that I actually vomited. But what stuck with me (and as I learned later, many others) was the fact that, in the movie, the house with artificial (and evil) intelligence managed to impregnate

The no-hitter bit of UYD was painful (and part of my lack of understanding about the appeal of the show). And I'm a fan of ranting. I was in a car listening to this episode with a few people and the general response after the 35th minute of the rant was "What are they talking about?" I knew what they were talking

I remember seeing "Brilliant Number One" (letterboxed and in b&w with feedback, Rammstein, and Shakespeare subtitles) immediately followed by
"Brilliant Number Two" (the same except different feedback, altered Pablo Neruda subtitles, and the sound of a ticking clock and a ringing phone). I was forever changed.

Elisha Cuthbert has vastly improved her comedic acting skills since the beginning of the show. She was on (comedic) fire this episode. I loved when she rethought the lyrics of "Like A Prayer".

While I disagree with the main reasoning, I have to agree with you on this particular podcast. But I mainly came here to give you whatever amount of points I had because of your name. I appreciate the Empowered reference, Adam Warren does great work.

Dang, totally missed those. I thought I had a good catch with the
"N****s in Paris" reference when Max says "That's so cray" and "Ain't it
Dave" during the showdown at the end.

- Cowpoke as "the cow p-word"
- Getting "blown by a storm" drawing groans.
- "Vampires! Vampires! Vampires! Vampires!"

I remember hearing that due to their budget, they could not get a permit to shoot in the subway. So they just went in the middle of the night to shoot. So I imagine that even the filming had an element of paranoia, particularly with the blood/brain utilization.

I just wish they'd stop eating (or chewing on something) while they talk. Grosses me out.

I couldn't tell during his OK Cupid stories whether he thought starting a conversation with a lady by creepily (and somewhat sarcastically) calling her "sugar" was a good thing. But I guess that's his thing. He knows it's creepy, but he's creepy, but he knows it's creepy, etc.

Yeah, I was surprised to find it in the other category. Graham is repugnant but I still sat there listening to the train wreck to the end.
