Yeah, I'll admit it's kinda like accusing someone of socialism in politics.  Supporting state-run assistance programs isn't socialism, and using parody liberally isn't the same as making Meet the Spartans.  I'm clearly conflicted in my feelings about Community, but I definitely don't hate the damn thing.

Not at all the same thing at all, but he DID write the season opener and finale of this season of Treme.  (And although I think the episode where it happened was actually a Pelecanos-scripted episode, there's a pretty good dig at Paula Deen in there somewhere).
