and not suggesting that any of these are good but you also have got that percy whatever the fuck and wolfman

@right wingnut
Shutter Island perhaps

I wonder how many AV Clubers are missing the firstie reference.

I dont know why these del Toro people even bother working anymore. Surely they could just sit back and relax and reap the rewards from their lawn maintenance equipment empire.

Have to disagree ET, Batman Returns suffers from a lack of Jack Nicholson

@ andy
I think we all agree that would have been better. I could watch Justin Long's face melting as he's being pulled into a fiery hell all day. FACT: Jeepers Creepers is officially awesome for dispatching of this turd in a fitting manner

Oh Well
Wasn't really looking forward to it in the first place, not a big fan of the first 3. I had heard, dont know how reliable and didnt bother looking into it, that they were considering doing the Scarlet Spider story in this one, which at first sounded like a cool idea until I realized it would mean double the

@elitist trash
X2 rules for the opening Nightcrawler scene alone but of course ultimately failed for when they once again left out Gambit(except for that stupid little putting his name on the computer teaser they did) Seriously how could they keep forsaking the Cajun and the when they finally do put him in a movie its

ooops oh yeah Spoiler alert or some such …..Actually screw you if you havent seen it yet, get with the program people. by the way that standard doesnt apply to me, if anyone ruins the Sixth Sense for me I'll be pissed.

@Douc
Not condemning the movie, which I liked, but "nice twist ending"? I would hardly call that a twist. could see that whole wrong envelope ending coming as soon as she picked the thing up in the car.

@emperor
Thats the big problem isn't it. She hasnt any substanitive positions on any real issues, so thats all we're left with. "i'm for real americans and main street not wall street" and "pallin' 'round with terrorists" just dont cut it.

Not to mention that you are also comparing the 1/2 hour/day during the week and a couple of hours on sunday to the 24 hour 7 days a week conservative infomercial that is Fox News.

In a side note to UniSol news, I still cant believe that those two idiots both turned down roles in the upcoming The Expendables. I mean surely their schedules weren't full.

In exciting Universal Soldier news….(actually not really news I just saw the trailer on the Dead Snow DVD last night) Thats right kids!! A new action packed Universal Soldier is coming to a theater near you complete with Jean Claude Van Dammage, Dolph "I Must Break You" Lundgren, some UFC guy, and a veritable "Who's

I'm surprised Zodiac, considering all the ownage that has come out of Hong Kong cinema I'd think you'd like it. I mean Jet Li, Bruce Lee, John Woo, Johnnie To, and Chow Yun Fat are all ownage incarnate.

I'm just suprised to find out that Hong Kong is considered a backwater village.

@teh
I started hating Arlington Road about the last 5-10 minutes of it. Watching over acting jeff bridges frantically chasing the van and screaming like a looney person. Until that point I quite liked it.

I also recently read Johnnie To is finally getting the english remake recognition thats long overdue with Breaking News, although that wouldnt be my first choice for a To remake, not his strongest film in my opinion.

@Robuttnik
Yeah but I didn't think the original BD was that great to begin with. Don't get me wrong I thought it was enjoyable but hardly warranted a remake. So I had absolutely no hope for the Nic Cage version.

uhh sorry Zodiac, The Departed, although good, isnt nearly of the same quality as Infernal Affairs. Tony Leung's performance flat out destroys Dicaprio's as does Lau's over Damon. The pacing of IA was much stronger and created much more tension and drama. Then theres just the strange reworkings of certain segments
