Both Hawaii 5 0 and Castle are sort of my go to shows to watch on Demand when I'm just ready to veg in front of the TV. As empty television calories go, they get the job done well enough.

He really should recut them to 18,000 one-minute episodes.
I just watched "Five Easy Pieces" on TV a few weeks ago (I think on TCM) and had forgotten that Sally Struthers and Jack Nicholson have a fairly extensive sex scene. It did feel a bit wierd to see Gloria Bunker-Stivic in a sex scene.
Cold Hard Cash
Are there no payola laws regarding cash payments, like in the radio world? I thought that's why you got cheap crap in the first place.
My favorite line in "the Deathbird" is in the discussion topics that follows the Adam and Eve excerpt - "Was Adam being a gentleman when the placed blame on Eve? Who was Quisling? Discuss 'narking' as a character flaw.
Yeah, "In the Barn." I remember that one. Basically it is about big breasted women being treated like cattle, literally. It's more lurid than truly daring, but it is more memorable than the other Piers Anthony stuff I read.
It wasn't a good fit with "be merry."
That's the equivalent of encountering Ray Bradbury's writing through the "Sound of Thunder" film.
Did some rereading of Deathbird Stories earlier this week.
Such a great collection - probably his strongest overall, quite an accomplishment considering how many of his classic stories are not there, but it really holds up as one of his quasi-thematic collections. I just wish my copy had that Leo and Diane Dillon…
MyName, is that one of the positive things about climate change that the Republicans are always talking about.
The game show stuff was the best thing in the whole show, and that includes the Larry David appearance. The program looked like nobody was trying particularly hard. Spectacularly unmemorable. Ditto last night's Office episode.
If this is a grand scheme to make Nick Cage a Scientologist

I think it was AFTRA and FRODUS, Poodog.
I've never seen the Line, the Cross, and the Curve Video,
Is that a Frida Kahlo unibrow that Miranda Richardson's sporting?
Tori Amos is probably the closest approximation to Kate Bush, but Kate is much more theatrical and, as someone mentioned earlier, un-ironic, than Tori. Tori Amos is Kate Bush if she became a tortured singer-songwriter: Kate as Eliott Smith. Or, Kate is the Marc Bolan version of Tori, but Kate was there first, so I…
The world needs another "Golden Throats" compilation.
So this is good news, maybe?
He also had a short piece on "The Moth" about his wife and a motorcycle ride (also mentioned on WTF) that was absolutely devastating. I imagine that was part of the one-man show. Sad that the show didn't get recorded in full. Perhaps it will get published as a memoir.
Watched the early part of the broadcast (up to supporting actor), went in to my son's room to help him get to sleep, read and finished Neil Gaiman's "Odd and The Frost Giants," and then went back out at about the time best director was announced. The fact that I read a 100 page novella - even excepting the fact that…
