He came three times before Toby Keith.

Not really, Gringo, Darjeeling Limited was a few weeks from release at that point, I think, so Cars wouldn't have been Wilson's swan song.

Another reason to dislike the "Hearts in Atlantis" film is that it steals the title from the best story in the collection and tacks it onto the most derivative one. The real HIA story is a pretty remarkable non-supernatural horror tale, where college students get obsessed with a card game, and gradually fall into

According to IMDB, he's working on a film of a Robert Ludlum novel now. Though I'm glad to see him finally cracking the A list, I can't help but feel that we might be losing the guy that gave us Dead Ringers, Videodrome, and Crash to the mainstream.

I don't know English, keeping the Flash Gordon theme didn't make that awful SciFi series any better.

Voight should have taken a moment to remember what happened to Brutus and Cassius in that scenario.

Avonlea
I always wanted to win Anne Shirley from Gilbert, and maybe take a little Plavix back in time so Matthew could have lived a bit longer.

Being John Malkovich.

I always assumed they changed the character to a fictional one because James Earl Jones played the part. This was years before Ossie Davis crossed the color barrier to play JFK.

Liked the Ali G Show, liked intermittent bits of Borat, and am having a hard time convincing myself that this would be worth seeing. I think Cohen is insanely talented, though. Maybe he should move on to more standard film acting rather than this "subversive" mocumentary stuff.

Rules not Roles
Man, I thought this was going to be a Random Roles, rather than Rules.

Meg is Mag's drummer sister, or ex wife, or something like that.

Lyons upgraded a bit - at least Allison Bailes's condescensions are much easier on the eye.

I had a dream that on the latest season of "I'm a Celebrity, get me out of Here!" someone forgot to turn the cameras on. Or get any of them back to civilization.

I work at Penn Plaza, not terribly fond of the station, but still think PA is worse.

Hath not a Jew mad rhymz!

I knew that too, Ignatz (including Tom S. correction, though I suspect you deliberately threw Abrams in for the hell of it). I have plenty to be ashamed of, you see.

Miller, that would be hysterical, though Wes Anderson's Kill Bill sounds uncomfortably like a MadTV sketch.

Maybe Wes Anderson wasn't the best swap buddy, but both he and Tarrantino have that same insular approach that can be wonderful and annoying. I like them both, but think they need a break from themselves.

But to be fair, it is Sarah Connor's half-assed scheme cooked up on the fly, John and SwarzTerm just try to keep her from killing Dyson, and get sucked up into an even bigger half-assed scheme. So the Connors spent maybe 15-20 minutes of actual film time tops in actually trying to stop Skynet.
