Try and watch the show first. Alot of the enjoyment of the movie comes from knowing the show and what came before

Actually this comment section was better than episode 5 or whatever that one review everyone hated was. This was confined to 1 thread so I could find legitimate episode discussion but on the earlier one I really couldn't find much..sonia complaints were all over the place there.

Her Mad men reviews were just fine. She's improving on the Leftovers reviews.

You put way too much effort into disliking someone. Still I applaud you for making this.

And from now on I will collapse and move on.

agree. sorry erik adams, but I find calling it melodrama or soapy a lazy criticism.

Okay, gotcha.

Great post although I'm not sure I agree that there's a specific "first power of drama" or a "basic rule of drama". The Sopranos is different than The Shield, but that doesn't make it any less a dramatic powerhouse, it just makes it different. Telling us about one country at one moment in its history could be ITS

It won't be covered, I'm pretty sure

WOT is like the place for episode recaps now so I guess there would be fine (Jeopardy recaps are on hiatus now btw)

Wasn't there a pretty much exact same scenario last week with the hotel manager guy? Nathan told him it was all for the cameras so he signed the contract. This should be a running thing

Leftovers already has 100 + comments which is kinda sad compared to 20 here. Although to be fair 90% of those comments are complaining about the review.

I hate to be -that guy- but I really wish Erik could've written this review. This one reads almost like a PDN review and it only scratches the surface of the meaning of the episode

Probably my favorite finale ever. It wasn't perfect, but it was so so satisfying and I couldn't have asked for more. I loved the way the game was filmed and the pass changing into a pass in Philadelphia was great.

I could make a case for Jon Hamm every year. Personal preference but I liked him better, not just because it's the last year

Wasn't Cranston not nominated that year? Breaking Bad wasn't eligible I don't think, which helped Timothy Olyphant and Walton Goggins take Cranston and Paul's spots

Rotten Tomatoes is not very good, all the critics could've liked it more than disliked it and since there are only two options, everyone's picking "fresh" but it doesn't account for how much they liked it. Metacritic has less reviews but it's more accuracte-82% right now on there.

Anyone know if this is just going to be a limited release or if it will expand? It's not in any theaters around me and doesn't seem like the type of movie that would be for a big ger audience

I feel the other way. Took a few episodes to get going but that Margot death episode was in the midst of a very good stretch, plus I think the Margot plot was mostly average than good (Simone and whatever that guy's name was were not interesting). After that episode the season picked it up even more, so I have high

I liked Lucy Lawless in Final Cut but that's it. It was more mediocre then anything else, the real bad episodes are Epiphanies and Black Market and those are even more filler
