"we now know why Ted told his kids the story of the guy who fucked their aunt by showing up in her apartment naked, for example"

Congratulations, you've won the My Favorite Comment Award! Here, have three internets.

I know this Robin-called-Ted thing is supposed to provide the emotional impetus for the whole season or whatever, but I so wish she'd called Patrice instead, just to watch that one episode.

"WHY DID YOU HAVE TO DIE, MAX?!"

It's not as if Archer ever really took place in any single decade. See: the old computers in the ISIS office, or the fact that the Soviet Union exists.

What do you mean by "explain?" It's Doctor Who. Scientific rigor is hardly the name of the game.

"It's an atomic bomb made of fluorine, the most powerful bomb in the Universe!"

The world is a better place with "wibbly wobbly timey wimey" having happening than without it.

I don't think there's any indication that this mother would be THE Mother (i.e., it looks like it would be some other couple's meeting story).

I'm pretty sure the title they chose for the show 9 years ago doesn't put an inviolable constraint on the structure of the show today. If they want us to see Ted's relationship with the Mother develop, they will.

Eh. According to OUAT, Nottingham is a place in the Enchanted Forest, so for all we know late tzarist Russia could be right next door.
