@avclub-4a51fda79bbd54b4e7327dd6559b6c4d:disqus Needing seemingly-straighforward statements explained  because I interpreted the statement in weird way is a daily occurance for me.  I have an active Alternative Interpretation of The Text Circuit and a Peculiarly Literal Circuit that can just completely throw me for a

No-one who read even just the first book ever thought True Blood was going to be taken seriously.

OH. Okay, that makes sense.  I was like, "WTF Al, True Blood is for wealthy people like fried baloney on white bread is haute cusine".

*obligatory Spartacus mention*

I haven't watched True Blood in like two years, I don't know who Anna Camp is, and I was like, "Yeah, sounds about right."

There is absolutely no way I comprehend how anything about True Blood could for "for" wealthy people. Unless it has turned into a vastly different show since I ditched it [circa Meloni]

Well, that's always an issue, though, isn't it?  That [Insert Villian] in [Small Town] is an actual threat against the continued existence of the world. To me, it's much easier to consider it as either trying to stop the threat to this specific town, or that if [Small Town] falls to [Insert Villian], it will start a

Argh I was perfectly fine with the ambiguity and had no idea there was any sort of bonus scene that "cleared it up"

I'll just back up @avclub-bbb3af3d466d7231aa738ff95762091d:disqus here.  Men who actually like short hair, especially hair as short as Alex's, are far outnumbered by men who like shoulder-length-or-longer hair on women, and most women still feel the need to take into consideration the male opinion when considering a

Oh man, I love him, but Once Upon a Time sucks and this really doesn't look any better.

I had that haircut several times; it was one of my favourites, and I missed it every time I watched an episode. Plus I have a huge girlcrush on Alex.

He may have scared everyone into getting off blood, but I never bought for a minute that it would have been a lasting change.  Mitchell wasn't actually a leader; he's a guy who was shoved into a leadership position by circumstance, and he wasn't any good at it. He was, in fact, terrible at it. And I liked that, a lot.

Yeah, season five was better than it had any right to be; I think the three actors had really hit their rhythm together and it all just kind of clicked very nicely. And I'm very pleased any time I see werewolf geek girl Alison on Game of Throne.   Plus I rather liked the uptight government employee Rook better than

The biggest problem I have with Mitchell is SPOILER? is how goddamn long it took for them to kill him and how flat-out maudlin that last scene with him was. I mean, come ON, it was totally heading towards Ten-regenerating levels of dragging-it-out.  BUT I liked it as a narrative point.   And I didn't like that so much

No, I don't watch it, but anyone with a perfect WTF face should do at least one episode of True Blood, because it'll get a hell of a workout.

I apologize somewhat insincerely, but I now have to troll you with baby!Ackles:

Misha's actual Twitter:

That's fair; when I saw the faerie speakeasy on True Blood, I was like, what is all this bullshit THAT IS NOT EVEN CLAUDE WHAT ARE YOU DOING OMG *nerd rage*

I like the movie, but I adored the books beyond belief when I was younger. They're basically two different POVs of the same story in my head.

I don't know if I think they were more interesting than the original three, but I definitely found them just as interesting, if in very different ways.
