Just Me?
@avclub-6562c5c1f33db6e05a082a88cddab5ea:disqus You can't eat your meat with no fucking teeth. And you know what happens to pudding if you don't eat your meat.
I am terrible at not asking conversationally reciprocal questions; it comes from not wanting to have conversations with people IRL. :) I did remember you saying that about your brother; I just didn't know about the rest of your family!
And don't you have people around these parts as well?
Oh my god, @avclub-3be42d8a3412057f79af152555e39bd4:disqus I am such a dick that I didn't ask you about your people after you asked about me! My brain, she is scrambled. I was thinking they're not in the OKC metro area, though, is that right?
I'm about ten miles from Moore, and didn't get more than wind and rain at my house, and all of my friends had pretty much the same experience. Some co-workers were not so fortunate, though. Thanks for asking!
I just can't quite get my head around the phrase "Shane McGowan's girlfriend".
The movie in my head is almost always more interesting than the movie in the theater. And by "interesting", I mean "sexy".
@avclub-62ae6d9e1a24836a391716549223464f:disqus Ah okay, so they're using an actual comic storyline, rather than creating a purely movie storyline based on "well he spent some time in Japan, so we should totally come up with a reason to send him back there"? I don't really trust them with Logan after Origins; how…
Glen Danzig's right; I think this movie's got Logan making out with Gambit, as played by Josh Holloway.
Oh like Jean Grey doesn't die all the time.
I was expecting this to take place in the past; doesn't Logan spend all that time in Japan before he even meets Professor Xavier?
That does sound like something my dad would do. I'm pretty blase, but it would never occur to me to go outside during a tornado warning unless it was absolutely unavoidable, or unless it was to run to a better shelter.
And they do seem to go in a moderately predictable direction, i.e., if it's going N/NE, it's not generally going to freak out and go S/SW at the drop of a hat. Storm chasers, though, are batshit.
Internet life is weird, y'know? Someone can drop away from a site and you'd never know if they just lost interest or what. I occasionally make lists of all the websites I regularly frequent so if anything happens I can have a friend drop by and let someone know.
And I, admittedly, am way, WAY too blase about them in general. I think it's gone past being idiotic and into being a zen defense mechanism. I get antsy, even if the bad weather isn't in my area, but mostly it's because the weatherpeople are all yelling and excitable. I don't start getting truly worried until the…
Only wind and rain, so very lucky!
Nope, I certainly do not expect you to know the geography of every place your internet friends live :), and tornadoes are a pretty big deal, especially if you're not used to them. And honestly, I logged in specifically to see if someone was sending up flares; I check all my websites when OK starts having shit…
Yes, I'm okay. The phone lines have been jammed, but the internet prevails! Today it hit in Moore - which is an OKC suburb, and I know the national news rarely manages to get those right - and I live about 10 miles north of Moore, which is closer than I like, but far enough away to take no damage. So I got very…
Yes, I'm okay - I live about ten miles north of Moore, which is still closer than I like, but far enough away to take no damage. And I was at work, which is about 15-20 miles north of Moore. And I'm like 40+ miles from Shawnee. So I got very lucky. Thanks for checking up on me! :)
