Oh shit you guys shit I was just leaking a little until that end credit shot of Crixus and then I just lost it in a big soggy mess and Andy at the end…..*sob* I can't breathe

Normally we have those conversations dressed like Sally Jupiter and Emma Frost.

I liked the DiCaprio version as well;between the actors and the flashy Luhrmannness, it absolutely nails the teenage giddiness and tendency to overblow everything into the most!important!thing!evar! without trying to convince me how perfect and romantic it is. And I was far past a teenager when I saw it.

ooooo, nice one, @avclub-55ab1e0836b46cc575ee502254e68ea9:disqus !

@avclub-749a8e6c231831ef7756db230b4359c8:disqus IS A TERMINATOR GET DOWN *pulls out giant sawed off shotgun*

Look I just want the blood and rhetoric, I can do without the love.

" I didn't know you were called Sec."
"Well, you didn't bother to find out. EXTERMINATE."

@Scrawler2:disqus  Kyle Reese is definitely at the top of my list.

I despise any implication that it's ~romantic~ or ~the greatest love story evar~.  No, it isn't, it's adolescent hormones and teen angst bullshit with a body count run amok.

He's got a case of the 3'o clock on Fridays. Hopefully he'll soon put up a post with a hot dude for us to swoon over, or I may be forced to start a game of Death is Not an Option to combat my own Friday afternoon boredom.

No, the mouse robot was the very cutest.

Goddammit I have company tonight so I will not even get to watch this until like one in the a.m.

@avclub-32b63dd70d870580128d83e930199e1c:disqus For me, he's kind of hypnotically icky, rather than revolting.

I have never seen a Judd Apatow movie, and I've never heard anything about one of those movies that has made me want to do anything other than avoid avoid avoid.

I did finally watch The Descent and was happily surprised to find it scary as shit rather than annoying girlpowery. I'm sure it helped that I have claustrophobic leanings.

I watched an episode or two, assuming it was going to be like Powerpuff Girls or Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends…but it really wasn't. It wasn't funny or kinda odd or anything like that; it was just an almost-slightly-too-earnest, borderline after-school-special show about MLPs.

@avclub-93dd7c576149e317876624615b6008c3:disqus You're right -I'm more likely to watch something just because it's created by women than I am likely to watch a show that just has a number of women in the main cast.

Right, I'll say it: Y'all are all nuts; the second one was awesome. I'll watch it over the first one.

I had zero interest in watching the show because I had heard such horrible things about the books, in terms of its terrible prose, pointless misogyny, racisim, etc combined with 14-year-old girl levels of Mary Sue-ism.  You know, all the classic Old White Guy Epic Fantasy highpoints, but amped up to 11.

I read that as "Jaynestown", and for a second was really confused.
