Or Beyond Therapy.
Or Beyond Therapy.
I noticed that. I've got a few that I'm hoping pop up before the end of the month.
I've only seen the clips of Stromboli that were included in Scorsese's My Voyage to Italy and they looked fairly tedious. Also, the TV book gave it one star.
That Kobayashi set does look good. I've seen I Will Buy You and Black River, and both were excellent. And you're absolutely right about Nikkatsu Noir. I'm so thankful that the A.V. Club chose to review it.
He also gives away the endings of a lot of movies in that documentary. Kind of counterproductive if his goal is to get people to watch them.
I asked for Mojo Nixon. They said, "He don't work here."
Even so, madame, the sun in your eyes made some of the lies worth believing.
That's a pretty amazing set, with only one clunker (Henry Jaglom's pointless A Safe Place).
I've already seen two of the Kuraharas — The Warped Ones and Thirst for Love. Both were incredible, The Warped Ones especially, so I can't wait to see the others. That Oshima set is aces, though. Enjoy it!
I picked up the Eclipse sets The First Films of Samuel Fuller and The Warped World of Koreyoshi Kurahara.
Well, I've seen both, and I think either one would be an excellent addition to your collection.
I picked up the Samuel Fuller and Koreyoshi Kurahara Eclipse sets.
I'm going to be totally unhelpful and say The Lost Honor of Katharina Blum.
You'll Never Eat Lunch In This Galaxy Again
Maybe.
Laugh-a while you can, monkey-boys!
That's a cover.
This is no substitute for the unmotivated flashback to Mineo's murder in American Horror Story.
@avclub-85d8ce590ad8981ca2c8286f79f59954:disqus: It's been a couple decades since I saw this film, so I couldn't remember what their relationship was. I just remember the extreme lengths Segal went to to dodge him.
Goldblum has a small role at the beginning of the film as a guy trying to get in to see Segal at his office, but Segal keeps dodging him.
