The Blinging Ringing Tree *Euro-reference*
He seems to think it has some sociological insights - which it doesn't.
Completely agree about photography and Watson. Othewise I found it trite and dull. Leslie Mann's turn as the new agey, self-help book wisdom-toting mum is satire at its most annoyingly blunt.
I keep confusing him with Alex James from Blur and think: 'OMG, even Britpop fops are implicated!'
Take an umbrella Nathan - the weather has been 'changeable'.
ComradeQuestions, it's certainly common nowadays but the release / embargo lift date is gettting ever narrrower. 'Skyfall' being the obvious recent, honourable exception.
In that case I'm going to watch it (V/H/S/2). I quite liked the first one too.
Same here, especially as all the French ads were high-end and felt dead classy.
BEFORE MIDNIGHT SPOILERS
Oh, God, that bit at the beginning when Jesse comes out of the airport and an instrumental version of the song Celine played him in the last film starts… I started crying.
Friday, I sat in the garden expecting to hear The Stone Roses who were playing up the road, but didn't hear anything. I couldn've *walked* up the road but couldn't be arsed. Seen 'em already.
Saturday, went to see latest production of Sondheim's 'Merrily We Roll Along' at Harold Pinter theatre in London. Very good but…
It's a shame, but maybe not so surprising after the usual 'test screenings have been positive' and press shows at the last possible minute bullshit.
It wasn't the version with Alun Armstrong playing Petruchio, was it? If so, I saw that too.
I was lucky enough to see Derek Jacobi play Benedik with the RSC BITD. There was a lovely moment when Benedik is reading the poem he's composed and Jacobi breaks off and looks up at the audience teacher-style as if to say, 'Who's that laughing at the back?'
Yeah, me too. I thought the crisp black and white was rather lovely too.
Bob K - completely agree, love that moment and Washington plays it beautifully.
My problem with Keaton was that I couldn't understand a word he was saying. His obsequious bow was funny though.
No one mentioned 'Headhunters' yet? It's a great film and he's great in it.
I kind of knew that but didn't care to go in to detail. Have a 'like'!
That theme tune was ace - 'Who am I in your dreams, without gaaaangstererers'
