Saw the new Star Trek which was okay in a generic action movie non-Star Trek way (still don't like Pine though). Hard to say any more without spoilers but really didn't care for third act.
Went to visit holy relics at 'David Bowie Is' exhibition at Victoria and Albert Museum - wonderful!

Will do.

Oh, yes, Wyndham, fantastic.

I'm reading Musketeers for the first time now. Great stuff!

Yup, love this film. Wonderfully wistful. The score is more progfolk than classic rock though.

Loved Italian for Beginners, if just for the mohican teddy bear 'pudding prize'.

And it'll fall further as reviews come in after the emabargo.

Film PR allow positive reviews to 'leak' in order to up the score.

The call and response vocals on it are great too.

The film is awful but I quite liked 'I Want to Hold Your Hand'.

What about Poochie Kirk's Nokia phone in the last Star Trek - does after WW3 count as apocalyptic?

My parent didn't really do music but my older sister had 'Ziggy Stardust', 'Electric Warrior', 'Rumours', 'Killer', 'Desire', an Eagles comp, and (ahem) Brain Salad Surgery and I have all of those now.

Pop heaven! At the same gig Pet Shop Boys did 'Left to My Own Devices' with the opera singer who sang on the record (and who they hadn't actually met prior to the live performance) and Frankie Goes to Hollywood appeared with the full house band.

This is such a bleedin' obvious one but David Bowie's 'Low'. It still sounds so singular and modern, avant garde but totally accessible. It completely shaped my tastes and remans a benchmark.

I was listening to that this week and it still sounds great - just so classy and exciting.
I saw them perform the songs from this at some Trevor Horn gig a few years ago with full orchestral backing.

Liked for recognizing the genius of 'Say Say Say'.

Her best French performance is in a movie called I've Loved You for So Long - highly recommended.

I saw him at the Royal Festival Hall where Faust were playing live accompaniment to a screening of Nosferatu. He was by himself sitting at the back and looked a bit lonely. The end.

Is there any reason why Kurlyenko's character doesn't just tell Jack and Victoria who she is and who they are to her?

Ooh, forgot that one; I've got it as well *thumbs through CDs*
