Weird, I haven't heard it since the contest and I can still hum it -ditto Hallelujah.

Poupee de Cire, Poupee de Son FTW!

Sparks' Kimono My House - a brief pause for breath after This Town… And we're off again with Amateur Hour. It makes your head spin.
Also 'Unknown Pleasures - the anxiety of Disorder giving in to the sheer horror of Day of the Lords - 'WHERE WILL IT END?'

Great one!

Watched the last two episodes of fantastic Danish political drama 'Borgen' on BBC4. Sad it's over but it's being relplaced by new series of gripping French cop show 'Spiral' next week.

I'm straight but I would do Romain Duris (see Mood Indigo trailer) - he lovely!

The speeding train in flames though *shudder*

The funny / sad title sequence to the not very good 'Get Over It' where Ben Foster, after being dumped, is serenaded / taunted by Vitamin C and a marching band playing 'Love will Keep Us Together' - the flip side to that '500 Days of Summer' number.

The title sequence to the next one soundtracked to Dean Martin's version of 'Gentle on My Mind' is equally great.

'Tomorrow Belongs To Me' from 'Cabaret' - the way it builds, the expression on the old people's faces, and the payoff with the swastika armband and salute. Terrifying. And it inspired a brilliant and equally disturbing send-up on the Election Special of puppets and politics show 'Spitting Image'.

Happy New Year everyone, from London 2013!

Yup, this is probably my favourite film ever.

Allen's 'Another Woman' is practically a remake of this.

I saw it yesterday and thought it was a slog but I though that about the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy too.

And the second side is cheekily referenced on Pulp's Walker-produced song 'Bad Cover Version'.
