Bun ain't coming back. But Daxx is pretty great too. Cheap Trick is fantastic live, end of story.

Joan Jett is super fun live (and the only artist who I've ever seen actually blow Cheap Trick off the stage, although that was due to sound issues, not rock credentials.) You should have a blast.
You must not be talking to the right Cheap Trick fans cuz all my friends love that song, as do the rest of the fellas in the cover band I sing with. They know probably 10 CT songs and "She's Tight" is easily the one we play live the most. (For the record, I can't sing ANY Zander, but "Tight" is a heckuva lotta fun to…
"Hell, this is the band that rarely plays their single No. 1 hit."
I've liked Kiss for decades but would never think to use the word "dignity" to describe them.
It is difficult for me to listen to a critique of good direction/cinematography from someone who chose to film himself from the "straight up my nose" angle.
True, if barely related story (us Jews are good with tangents):
I have a friend who made a zombie movie and he asked me (and, y'know, a hundred other people — don't want you to think I'm special) if I would like to be a zombie extra. I passed but told him if there was an opportunity at a future date to play a C.H.U.D.,…
As a vocalist myself, he actually makes me kinda angry (in a good, I know I'm just jealous sorta way.) The dude even SMOKES ONSTAGE! If I did that, it'd be all over for the rest of the set.
Bun E. is the man and he's missed, to be sure, but Daxx is no slouch (and since he learned from the man himself, he can nail those parts) and his presence means longer shows than the tail-end of the Bun E. years (when one hour was the absolute maximum.)
If you haven't seen CT in the last few years, you're missing out.…
I'm not clear how Yes is "more influential" than Cheap Trick. They influenced completely different folks/bands, is all. Where I'm from (the Midwest), there are far more bands playing power pop than prog. And on a member-by-member basis, the musicians in CT can certainly hold their own against Yes. Nielsen is an…
Yep, I've never understood why this is relegated to Wilder and Cagney's B-lists. Cagney's performance is an absolute wonder to behold and easily one of my favorites of his, which is saying a lot.
Especially dragon tits.
And dragons!
This fellow should absolutely never read the book, which features some pretty graphic descriptions of Barris's withered penis, IIRC.
The plot is about an album that goes missing before it's released?
I know there has to be a Give My Regards To Broadstreet joke here somewhere but I just can't quite find it.
Nope. There is a Galaxian stage, but he was playing the Space Warp one.
And now that I think about it, the Galaxian stage was missing from the home ports.
Gorf. Henry was playing Gorf.
I really feel this needs mentioning since the reviewer called it Space Cadet.
It's Gorf.
Eh . . . maybe I'll just delete my comment then. ;)
My weekly Movie Night gathering recently screened this (in honor of Scheider's birthday) and I've always liked it, but not having seen it in 5 or 6 years I was again struck by how great the acting is and how unusual it is for a sci-fi film. As I noted in a comment about The Martian, I find it impossible to dislike any…
