I worked at a movie theater in high school that played this. Most of the time, the only people in the theater were other employees. It was a terrible movie and an even more terrible movie theater.

I stopped reading after "Your Twitter feed …" as I figured the rest of this article was just more lies.

Christmas doesn't get good until the extended family shows up.
My girlfriend and I watch different Xmas movies every year and she was very wary when I popped this one in. After the initial dumb truck/road rage scene and the quest into the woods for the tree, she asked me to turn it off. I insisted she hold out a little

I remember him from such films as "No Way Out", "5 Fingers", "House Of Strangers", "People Will Talk" and "A Letter To Three Wives"
Honestly, I've never thought much of "Sleuth" maybe because the twist had been overhyped and it's perhaps the most obvious twist in the history of overly obvious twists. I should

Oh you poor thing haven't to flip over your tiny little DVD.
Real men only watch laserdiscs. Not only do you have to flip it, you have to switch to the second disc — and they're heavy!

The reason is, everyone who knows how to pronounce it correctly thinks you sound like an idiot when you use a hard G.

It was Animal in The Muppet Movie.
And before you say he's not a superhero, just remember that he defeats the bad guys by taking a magic pill that allows him to grow to an enormous size. Sure sounds like a superhero to me.

Pffft. Some guy on a recent Penn And Teller Fool Us solved it while tossing it behind his back. At least, as far as I know he did, and that's good enough for me.

Well obviously that's my opinion.

OK, Empty Glass is a pretty great record. But what other solo albums was he witholding songs for in this era? Given that the songs on All The Best Cowboys… are as bad as anything he ever wrote and he didn't put out another solo record until 3 years later (and White City ain't no great shakes either) I find this

How is this a "problem" given what I actually said?
Neither I nor any of the drummers I personally know that I referred to have said Collins wasn't a good drummer. I simply don't put him in the same category as Bonzo or Moon. I can respect Collins's chops and still not enjoy his music, can't I? Everyone can't be the

I know lots of drummers and few of them hold Collins in particularly high regard but that says as much about their taste in music as it does Collins's abilities, I'd argue. There's quite a huge gap between "technically great and good and what they do" and "not the kind of drumming/band I personally enjoy." Someone

Saying I don't think a drummer is as good or unique as Moon or Bonham isn't really "hating" on them. Like any good pyramid, the top tier is the smallest — only room up there for a handful of folks.

Nope.
They were all born c.1944-1945, so that puts'em at 36-37 when the album came out. (Kenney Jones was even younger, born 1948.)

You might have a case for Peart, but Collins and Henley aren't even close to being in the same class as drummers, nor do they have a unique enough style to qualify as really defining the sound of their bands instrumentally.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever heard any fan of this LP dis "The Quiet One" before. It's one of the album's best tracks and sits comfortably alongside many of Entwistle's best contributions to The Who, IMHO. (It also doesn't sound a damn thing like T. Rex to me.)

Agreed about the live action "splash page" but the whole fight in general was just kinda off and obviously-CGI-ish-looking to me. Would have to watch it again to be more specific (and the vids on YouTube are so low-res they're worthless for this exercise.) And I think part of what bugged me was it was clearly trying

Agreed. It's very distracting.

I can't think of anything that looks too terrible in Avengers, but the opening scene of Age Of Ultron sure does. Was stunned when I saw that in the theater since it's clearly supposed to be amazing and it worried me about the effects for the rest of the movie. Fortunately, everything else looks pretty great but having

There was only one Carl Stalling.
(Sorry, couldn't resist.)
