I think the "electronic" sound came about more as a necessity, since the band wasn't playing together at the time and hadn't really written any songs. It's amazing "13" is as good as it is, pretty much all due to William Orbit cobbling sessions together into something cohesive. It's probably my favorite album of

One can only hope.

Blur's self-titled can be found in damn near every used bin, despite being a great album.

It was one of the more tolerable Nerdist podcasts I've ever heard. I like when Hardwick has to tone down his schtick a bit, and Harrison Ford actually seemed like a pretty decent person throughout.

Lou Barlow's still alive.

I'm not sure that she's unkillable, just she doesn't die from getting old. Probably the same thing that Laveau's got.

Add Radiohead, Blur, and My Bloody Valentine, as long as we're listing bands like this.

I realize now I've been trolled because the guy wrote earlier that the Pixies and Clash "lack Arcade

Only if that art school is part of a state university.

It's time to shut down the AVClub, because nothing is ever topping this.

I guess it's just a testament to how far guitar-based rock has fallen in the public eye that LCD Soundsystem would even be in the running. They were a dance band, and should really never have been taken seriously in the first place.

To be fair, I think everyone knew Interpol's lyrics were terrible right from the start. Arcade Fire actually suckered me into thinking they had something to say with that first album.

What critics think Arcade Fire is the best band in the world?
