I'm not as down on those first three as some other people are (minus the drug play, ugh). But I agree the first two are just silly and perfectly fine.

At first I thought Morgan stabbed him in the neck, and I was like "O_O Holy shit." But then I thought that if one person on this show can be considered "safe", it's Rick, maybe Carl too.
This show could use a bit more humor, so I enjoyed those aspects of this episode.
"Carl, watch The Wire."
I would say the change in look happened even before season 2 was over. The 2010 season 2 episodes have that great, colorful season 1 look, while the 2011 episodes look pretty much like it does today. I miss the colors. :(
To be fair, Chevy has been pretty much phoning it in since the beginning of the last season. I actually of don't blame him now for what he was saying about the show. They really haven't had anything for him to do since season 2.
Eh, this episode was alright. I enjoyed all the stuff at ISIS headquarters and the non-Bourdain restaurant scenes, but I found Bourdain's scenes really distracting. I understand he isn't an actor, but his voice acting was just constantly taking me out of the episode. The "A" grade is a bit surprising to me.
I kind of wish they would do more with Stan's wife. She just seems to pop up every now and then to guilt him about "how things used to be."
Oh wow, I completely forgot he was the CDC guy in The Walking Dead. Huh. Then again, I usually forget everything about The Walking Dead about two days after I watch it.
This is true.
I'm enjoying this season so far, and I don't have to treat it like some dumb epilogue or fan fiction. Crazy, huh?
For some reason I really enjoyed the ridiculous way Marshall and Ted were saying "cop." This episode had some really funny gags, which is all I really want from it these days.
The first five seasons range from pretty good to great, season 6 is hit-or-miss, and I haven't seen any of season 7 (save for 2 episodes) or 8. But the first five are good.
Maybe I'm just blinded by nostalgia, but I honestly believe that this show has never had an episode as good as the pilot. The scene of Rick walking through the hospital was tense and great. Am I wrong on this?
I actually did like that little detail quite a bit. If this was the first or second season, the dramatic zombie action music would kick in and the group would have to fight. It's kinda neat how they just shrugged them off essentially.
Not as funny as this:
This basically sums up my feelings on this episode, the final episodes of Season 3, and the whole Season 4 "controversy" as a whole. I was also really hoping that the new showrunners would try to ground the show a bit, back to mid-Season 2 levels, or even farther.
In addition, it felt like a lot of the Spring 2012 episodes were trying a little too hard to be weird, so you'd think the Harmonites (is that what they're called?) would love this!
I personally enjoyed Ron straining to get up, and then waddling over to the desk.
I'd have to agree, but I'd expand it to the 2010 episodes in general (second half of season 1 and first half of season 2) as the strongest run of episodes this show has ever had.
