Well, she does have an amazing memory. As she puts it, things just stick to her brain. In one episode, Richard said she could "could name the state capitals at three" and "recite the periodic table at four". And Rory herself, in another episode, says:

The best thing in this episode was that Blaine stopped using bow ties and gained a little more personality. Also, he pulled off a a Robin costume with Catwoman ears adorkably.
