Japandroids take my number 1 spot, but Menomena is hanging around number 3, and Tame Impala is in the top 10. There was a ton of great music this year.

They haven't even gotten around to reviewing it yet. Perhaps we'll find it in two months as one of those that "slipped through the cracks", and we can be mildly satisfied with an A-, like the recent Menomena and Tame Impala records.

For me, I'd just prefer a new Spoon or Wolf Parade (or Handsome Furs) album. Though I believe that "Civilian Stripes" is where you see the collaboration reach its apex.
As a Blazers fan, I was prepared for an awful season. But I was not prepared for an awful-lose-to-the-Wizards season.

Oooh, Goin' Against Your Mind is a great call. also amazing is that it's basically just two chords the entire time, just like LCD Soundsystem - All My Friends, another great one.

Agreed. Also, this seems to be as good a place as any to mention Built To Spill's cover of "Cortez the Killer", which is the shortest 20 minute song I've ever heard.
