I really like The Returned, but I can see why others wouldn't. It's magic realism, so you have to go with its flow. If you expect answers you will likely be disappointed.
OK, adding juggling to list of things I want to see Mads Mikkelson do on Hannibal, after dancing and making out with Will.
Whoops! Sorry to spoil! (Although I hope knowing this won't spoil the upcoming episodes but instead be something to anticipate with excitement.)
For me it's that I don't like Al, but in many ways he IS the show. His journey from outright villain to antihero is wonderful to watch, and I can't get enough of his speeches to the head in a box.
"'dystopian love story,' in which people are forced to either find a life mate or be turned into an animal"
The HBO Ceo of Tits used to work harder back then.
I doubt it will. They still have the Vergers to introduce, and I assume they'll have a substantial subplot.
While the Doc has always been my favorite, it's to Deadwood's credit that I can think of about a dozen characters who could be my #2. Joanie, Jane, Ellsworth, Charlie, E.B., Trixie, of course Sol (go team Jew!)… It's got an embarrassment of riches, character-wise.
I don't know anything about the pros and cons of attachment parenting, but I know enough to say that people shouldn't make parenting decisions based on Game of Thrones.
The Following is hours away, and I'm already distressed about Sonia's inevitable mental breakdown. You must stop this, Sonia! For my sake!
Other than Hannibal (Hannibal Hannibal Hannibal), I listened to TVDW's podcast, and he inspired me to start a Deadwood rewatch. Did you know it's the 10th anniversary? The episodes I've watched have been near-perfect, though I'm still not completely sold on the Kristen Bell subplot. Like most HBO shows, it's even…
I just read that Mads did the egg splitting in one take. Fuller thought it was a fluke, so he did it again and again. They had brought in a specialist (I think a benihana chef) to do it, but Mads was like, pfft, I gots this bros. He really is a god.
He's such a good narrator. Maybe I'm imagining it, but it often sounds like he's about to cry because he loves history and the people who lived through it so much.
I've never been on Team Piz, so I was shocked by how much the movie drew me in that direction. Maybe it's leftover goodwill from Enlisted.
We've got eight more episodes of Hannibal to go this season. I can't even wrap my head around that. If this week's episode, episode 5, was as crazy as it was, what's the finale (and the lead-up to the finale) going to be like?
Thanks, all! So many great episodes to choose from. I guess I'll have to show my friend all of them! I do think now that you've listed all these episodes that King Size Homer would go over very well. That might be where I start.
Hey, we say YVAN EHT NIOJ occasionally. That's season 12 even!
I was thinking of that, but my friend definitely prefers wackiness to groundedness in his comedy.
