What's he hiding? Vampire bite marks? A scar from that time Tails tried to slit his throat? And what's with the bandages on Sonic's wrist? Hedgehog's been through some dark shit recently.

Well, I was exaggerating a bit, obviously. As Douglas pointed out, Lincoln went back and forth on slavery every other day, depending on who he was talking to. In 1855 he was writing things like, "There is no peaceful extinction of
slavery in prospect for us" (Letter to George Robinson) and assuring his pro-slavery

Ugh, T.S. "Shantih shantih shantih." Stop trying to make "Shantih" happen.

Communist.

Well, maybe. But five years before the Civil War Abraham Lincoln said slavery was here to stay. Things are inevitable until they aren't.

Our opinions about pop culture are fed to us by machines designed to criminalize our autonomy.

I was a little worried when she went off to follow the Dead, but she turned out okay.

Definitely didn't see 12 Years a Slave as a simple "slavery is bad" movie. There's complex stuff in there about the different ways people survive in horrific, no-win situations. How much dignity do you give up? That's the big question of the film, not, "Was slavery bad?"

Ah, gotcha gotcha. Forget it, Jake, it's the AVClub comments.

We do "love the sinner, hate the sin" for a lot of things, though. Why is that a problem, as long as the "sin" (I hate that word) is actually immoral? Most of us don't care if someone fantasizes about murdering someone, but we do care if the person does the deed. I'm a bit creeped out by the analogies to gay sex here.

That's not what it said on Altavista.

I'm going to assume you wanted us to read that in the voice of Strong Bad.
