I'm with you on that one.  It seemed like it would have been so easy to close too; people were taking outriggers back-and-forth between the two Islands all throughout S6!  Just have Sawyer shoot himself and we could all move on!!

Why is the sky blue? Why is water wet?

Yea, some of the clunkiest parts of the season were the, "Ok, we're answering X now…" moments.

@avclub-f121d09285898f1c66d66f1e6f0455a6:disqus I was a little disappointed that the Flash-Sideways turned out to be basically an epilogue without a ton of direct relation to the main Island storyline, but it worked alright for me at the time and on revisiting it, I still think it works.

Best Ghost World review ever.

Well, whoever was that man, I'd like to shake his hand.

I watched Ghost World with my Dad (who definitely falls outside the boundaries of what one would consider a Ghost World fan…I've never read the books either, tho) and he had a take on the bus that I hadn't considered…

Re: Walt - I felt like it wasn't so much about why Walt was special as he just was naturally gifted.  In any event, I think the show ends up saying while some are more naturally gifted at it (Walt, Locke) than others are (Ben, Jack), everyone has the capacity and ability in them to be "special", depending on their

Dharma rations.

Yea, I thought some of the parts around her past were a little unclear, but @Scrawler2:disqus sums it up nicely;  she's motivated by her desire to repay her debt to Hawkeye and to make amends for "the red in her ledger" - the bad things she's done in her past.

I thought they did a good job of fleshing out Coulsen with the running asides throughout the movie;

I've seen a lot of folks saying they think he's still alive too, but I hope that they let him RIP.

Yea, I get the feeling that Maria Hill will act as a Coulsen-like connective tissue in the second phase of individual movies.

I'm outside the US too…so, there really was an after, after credits scene for the US release?  And it had the Avengers taking up Stark on his suggestion of getting shawarma?

Apparently, Hulk's "Puny god" line was delivered by Lou Ferrigno.

Yea, it definitely doesn't drag.  It's pretty tightly constructed and follows a classic, team-story, 3-Act structure: 1) Team assembles, 2) Team fractures, 3) Team re-assembles stronger and (spoiler) succeeds.

Turns out you nailed it @avclub-5751693536add9cb4b813590b0fedbf9:disqus .

Ha!  Unfortunately, no. I hadn't even thought about Red Dawn, even though Powers Boothe pops up here also.  Harry Dean Stanton's cameo tips it's hat toward another geek-centric flick too…

I've said it before and will say it again - you're the best Stan Lee gimmick poster. Big fan!
