Firstly, I'd like to make it expressly clear that I didn't find your opinion haughty at all.

I don't believe we are disagreeing, Potatohead.  Though I'm not quite so vehement as you as you. All I was saying is that what is a right stance and what is a left stance varies depending on which country you are in.

I think we have to accept that left and right wing are fluid terms.  Obama is, my American standards, pretty liberal.  As is Stewart.  Not everything he does is liberal, and neither of them is on the far reaches of their party.  But, by America's (skewed, but none the less valid) standard's, they are both on the

I really love this article. I think it's pointed, true, and unafraid to show its bias — which is nice.  We live in a climate of frankness, and frankness truly appeals to me.  My worry is that that frankness can be polarizing.  There seems to be less and less a need to not-so-much agree with people as to be agreeable.
