This is a kind of show where there are so many layers beyond the surface. I loved the scene between Nucky and Willie at breakfast. It's a perfect example of Nucky not just lying about who he is. The man is downright delusional.

Poor Willie. There can't be anything less sexy than listening to Steve Buscemi sex grunts from the room next door.

She was also maybe the best thing but the last season of Scrubs, and that single pretend Scrubs season that was actually a new series without a new name.

They do seem to be doing things that Stark and the Avengers were upset about in the movie, but there's kind of a shrug and acceptance over it. Unless they will make a point about that later on. But they may also think they want their heroes to be all powerful and unquestionably morally right. In other words, I'm not

The show definitely seems to be aiming at a younger teen/20ish audience. It sometimes feels a bit like something on the CW. While I think the Avengers, Iron Man, etc, movies are aimed a bit older.

Am I wrong? Didn't the doctor actually mention "Extremis" at one point, or did I imagine that? After all, back in Iron Man 3, they were working to stop Extremis from causing people to blow up. Which is exactly the point of the first episode of this series.

I think that he takes crap from the people he has to, but not from someone he thinks is at a lower level then him. I look at it as more of a character flaw that has actually got him into trouble throughout the series.

You're correct, but I think the implication was that he would be in touch with her, and would be doing a little counter-blackmail. I'm assuming because he knows the firm is committing fraud by having her deliver her fake sob story. It could also be that her connections to Nucky my leave her open to something.

Granted, it's hard to know just what nationality the name "O'Banion" is.

Wow, Jeffrey Wright as Cobra Commander. Talk about a way to vastly improve the G.I. Joe movie franchise.

Well, since he knows Margaret's whole story is made up, he could possibly expose that the company is committing fraud. Rothstein is of course investing under a false identity, but the most intimidating blackmailer wins.

It can also be chalked up to some people's not-so-secret thoughts that if you're locked up in prison — especially for something heinous like murder — you deserve whatever you get. It's the thought, "ah, fuck that guy!" taken quite literally.

I know that many people have said they find Nucky the least interesting character on the show and that Buscemi is sort of one note… but I continue to love his "I have no interest in indulging your bullshit" attitude. Who among us doesn't sometimes feel that way? It's a long standing human tradition to think everyone

It didn't take long for Eli to get right back to resenting Nucky. Maybe he never stopped, but he gave it a good effort for a while.

I'd suggest that "moralist" isn't necessarily one who is moral. Just someone who believes they are and makes sure they know others are not.

I resent the implication that a skinny non-white guy would be any better…

While I know in reality it would never happen, but it sure would've been fun if Scorsese got his new best buddy Leo DiCaprio to play Hoover. Granted, he may have had trouble playing this weaselly version of the guy.

I know on a show like this that no one's going to get off drugs and straighten up easily. And she did murder that innocent young guy, so maybe I shouldn't want her too. But I'd still like to get another scene or two of her happy and naked.

I guessed in advance that the outcome would be blaming Clayton when Nucky asked who else was involved. Not too much of a stretch to guess that, but he cleverly could've been talking about Henry, too.

I'm too lazy to go back to the actual show and check, but I was thinking, what exactly did Nucky say to the kid about forgetting about the person that something happened to? Was he maybe actually saying you'll forget about Clayton, the friend you threw under the bus. Because, even though Nucky didn't talk about paying
