All of the Beatles have have had vocal appearances on the show. The three cameos are obvious and "My Mother The Carjacker" uses "Mother." John in Simpson form first appears in "New Kids On The Blecch." Though I guess technically John appeared in "Bart of Darkness" albeit as a puddle of wax.

Agreed on both counts. That PPG episode is amazing and you have to be a pretty hardcore Beatlemaniac to get all the references.

That's one of things that irritates me about current Simpsons: the treatment of Flanders. I get that he's supposed to satirize the religious right, but the lack of subtlety makes it less effective, plus at his core he's a decent, kind guy. (Except when his house is destroyed by a hurricane.)

Neil's probably my favorite artist, so it's hard to pick a favorite song.

I love the electric stuff, but I find the piano songs to be the most affecting.

How's your sound quality? Any obvious skips? I lucked across one on the internet that sounds pretty perfect.

I think that's an apt way of describing it. Tonight's The Night is the Irish wake and On The Beach is the morning after. What I like about that album is that it starts out so optimistic and then spirals into despair.

I lost my mind when I saw them about a month ago and "Powderfinger" was the second song they played. I can listen to Rust Never Sleeps anytime or any place.
