Am I the only person who actually likes Louis Garrel? He isn't the greatest or anything, but I've enjoyed him in all of Christophe Honore's films. Some of those movies are awful, but he still has an interesting presence. Love Songs is legitimately great though, it was on IFC all the time a few years ago where I was in

Can't remember a role where I liked WItherspoon, but Malone as a fried chick seems cool.

I was thinking the same exact thing. These four just hanging out solving crimes and complimenting each others mutton chops. All a movie really needs.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit, I'm buying this.

That is so fucking cool. I ended up downloading it due to it being out of print and really expensive. I work at a movie theater though and we'll sometime do employee screenings, pretty sure my manager said he had a copy when I brought it up to him…

It only played here for 1 weekend, but I know it's out on dvd so I might just buy it. Lovers on the Bridge is another one of my favorite movies, and I remember D'Angelo raving about Motors during Cannes.

Just watched this a few weeks ago and it immediately became one of my favorites. Every time I've read about the film, the final scene gets brought up, and I was expecting it to be a letdown due to how much it was hyped, but it was just about the most glorious scene ever. Probably only topped by Lavant's other huge

Have you had Drakes Drakonic Stout? Top 3 beer for me. So fucking good. Really want to try Old Rasputin.

Lagunitas is the shit. Their new Shutdown Ale is alright, and at 9.6% it knocks you on your ass. Their imperial stout and lil sumpin ale are still my favorites though. I'd go to this if it was in the Bay Area.

It really, really was. I didn't know octopus could have that texture! And the taste!

I got a free meal from a michelin starred greek place.

Had Pliny the Elder on Cinco de Mayo, so fucking good. Wanna find a bar that has it on tap.

Lost in Translation is one of my all time favorites, and I even like Marie Antoinette, but this one looks pretty iffy. I'll see it because Coppola+Savides is enough for me, but I'm not so sure on this one.

Had the best tacos of my life last week. 1 carne asada, 1 buche, so pretty basic stuff. The meat was perfectly cooked and the guac was super fresh. Pretty standard, but what put them over the top were the tortillas. They used 2, the inner was fried with melted queso fresco on the outside, and the outer tortilla was

Holy shit at acaraje.

There's a place around here called Courts Lounge and it's exactly like Trees. Don't go too often but those bars are great. Just a good place to drink away the day and not worry about impressing anyone.

I just got around to watching it a couple weeks ago and agree. Such a sad little movie.

I was 14 when that one came out as well, and I remember hearing Funeral on the radio. I remember what street I was on, and I remember what the weather was like that day. I took the bus to tower records the next day and bought it and listened to it nonstop. They really were the perfect band for growing up. Neon Bible

Out Come the Wolves is the only Rancid album that I enjoyed past the age of 16.

I remember when the only thing I knew about this movie was the cast and I thought it was going to be great. Then I read the name Baz Luhrman. Then I saw the trailer. Then I saw another trailer. Then I heard this, and I realized that life sucks.
