Agreed. And the whole taking care of Marvin thing is probably only half serious. No one expects Marshall and Lily to die anytime soon, and wouldn't want to imagine it. It's all a competition.

As far as HIMYM as a whole, this episode wasn't great, but I think it was better than the last two weeks which really didn't do it for me. It at least felt like an attempt to return to normalcy. I suppose by that I just mean the structure of the episode and it's lack of attempt to push forward the "fall of break-ups"…

I don't think so, I remember Jessica just randomly knowing, but I assumed she knew from the way they (Carrie/Brody) were speaking early that one morning, and how he disappeared for a weekend. It's what I'd assume as well.

I kept thinking he'd get a more prominent role last season, and he hasn't yet but that day might come. He definitely has a higher security clearance than Saul and that's been useful, but I keep thinking back to how he dated Carrie and that ruined his marriage. It came up in that one bar scene last season but not since…

Keep going, you'll be happy.

I don't like Jessica. I may be the only one, but I don't. She kind of annoys me and she's always so hard on Brody and going on about Brody and Carrie when she was sleeping with Brody's best friend for however long. I know she thought he was dead, but it's just like he fucked up tonight, didn't show up, guess I'm just…

We all want to believe we're Leslie… but some of us are just born Lemons. A sad fact I cannot myself escape.

OH! Also did anyone else think the theme music sounded like a riff on the Clarissa Explains it All music?? My favorite part of the episode (except "Welcome to the bathroom").

I forgot about the Mindy/Jeremy thing… that was such a big deal, she couldn't stay away from him. Weird. I like that it's taking things slow on the Danny/Mindy front though.

Sigh, I can vouch for Mr. Sims' reasoning.
New York is a mess.

I spent the first half of the episode trying to remember what city they were in, decided it had to be LA and if not, DC then remembered the subway ride from last week and spent the second half thinking that this is maybe the most LA "New York" show I've ever seen.
