Maker's Mark is whiskey, but I'll let it slide because his name refers to White Zinfindel.

This show has always taken liberties with characters' ages. If you watch season 1 again, it's implied that Riggins and Lyla are seniors with Street, but somehow Riggins and Lyla stay in high school for 2 more seasons.

@Barefoot jim: I'm pretty sure you're right. I distinctly remember Peter Berg and Bryan Grazer announcing that they would end after the 5th season when the 4th season and 5th seasons were ordered.

and by Satisficer I mean Maximizer. This could help to explain my unemployment status.

Maximizers v. Satisficers
We learned about Barney's predicament in psych class. Maximizers are those who want the best of all their possible choices. Satisficers set a threshold for satisfaction and anyone who crosses that threshold is chosen. Barney is a satisficer.

It feels like Riggins is a lot older because, well, he's supposed to be. In season 1 he's Street's best friend when Street was a senior in hs. It was implied that Street and Riggins grew up together and were of the same age and became best friends that way, yet Riggins stayed on the team for seasons 2 and 3.

It sounded like Gracie is talking somewhat. When Tami asked Gracie if she wanted to sleep, Gracie said, "No."

Frank Grimes from the Simpsons was a pretty sad character, too.

Yeah, what the f was that!? That was a ridiculous pass.

Music over the final montage
Does anyone know the name of the song that's playing over the final montage? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Yep. And the echo of "Texas forever."

Clear Eyes. Full Hearts…Dead Silence?
I loved that Coach Taylor is still using the "Clear eyes, full hearts, can't lose" slogan. I also love that the first time he said it, the East Dillon players had no idea what he was talking about. It's the little things, I suppose.

I know what I know.

Texas forever, man. Texas forever.

I found a solid review of Epitaph One from The Watcher over at the Chicago Tribune (Sorry Noel, I've been dying to discuss this episode):

UNAIRED EPISODES
Can someone please, please, PLEASE review the unaired episodes. The unaired season finale was UNBELIEVABLE.

And it was awesome that Encino Man got his comeuppance, so to speak, from someone of the same rank. Fuckin right, Cpt. Patterson.

The British Office would have played badminton.

Just watched this episode online. Mark84 got the quote right.

Vicodin
There is no way anybody can fully recover in 24 hours after decades of chronic opiate abuse. However, it is possible for House to feel substantially better after the first 24-48 hours because that time frame is generally when withdrawal symptoms are at their worst (I thought the writers did a decent job
