The Sopranos is my choice for the best finale ever. (The Shield is a close second.) Both series ended on tremendous notes, which makes their finales that much better

God, the sadomasochists of the internet are going to have a field day.
Carrie Raisler, we tip our hats to you. You went through hell to cover this bullshit series, you deserve a vacation and a Breaking Bad marathon. Here's hoping that your next project is one of much less stress. Thank you so much for doing all this.
I tip my hat, and nod my head to you, sir.
If it has Harvey Keitel in it, I might go see it.
My birth.
I think the discrepancy between the two shows is more delineated into plot versus themes.
There is no way in hell The Sopranos could've been compressed into three seasons.
So, does this mean we should also expect to put The Big Lebowski on Saturn?
Freedom isn't free, it costs like folks like you and me
Portlandia. When other people watch it, they see a sitcom. When I watch it, I see a slightly exaggerated version of walking around downtown.
Maybe someone can finally shed some light as to why and how Eminem lost his way. Seriously, his discography is one of the worst, and most erratic in Hip-Hop. For such a talented MC, it's a bit shocking that he never really had a "classic" album.
Who DIDN'T love Martha Bullock?
Battle Creek?
I own all of the DVD sets. I could probably binge it, and be done quicker. But then, of course, I might die, so…This may be a better option.
I will always be grateful to Pulp Fiction, because it was the movie that got me into movies. Before it, I had never really seen anything that good, and I hadn't the appreciation until I watched it.
You got it. I love Scorsese for this reason: He's not afraid to show his own scars.
That's a valid complaint towards Scorsese. He could've done a bit more in some of his films to liven up the females. There are plenty of other directors in the conversation of being the greatest who out-do Scorsese in this aspect.
Agreed. I don't want it to sound like I can't stomach the violence. I just think it's supremely misused.
Well articulated, friend. I wholeheartedly agree. I think that the violence Tarantino produces is in the complete wrong light. Like I said, (most of) him films are ultimately vapid. There is not a whole lot underneath the glossy and pulpy dialogue and violence.
