It was a fucking amazing joke though.

It's hard to believe Jenna Fischer never won an Emmy while the entire cast of Modern Family did. The Emmys seem to favor bland performances instead of nuanced ones by Fischer and other underrated actresses such as Kaitlin Olson.

The real cringey part of the episode is when the guy from the Albany branch reveals that he didn't have a presentation prepared and says "maybe I should have slept with my boss" in front of Jan, Wallace and everyone.

The Eminem experience.

Dwight's sycophancy reached new levels in this episode. The way Rainn Wilson says "Michael is going to wipe the floor with us" kills me every time.

Was he the same guy who kept on deriding Mindy Kaling written episodes as too schoolgirl-ish?

Dwight is egotistical enough to believe that he merits two roles in the group. Just like Dennis Reynolds.

"Jumping the shark" refers to a point in a show's run when it enters a irrevocable and precipitous decline. That exact moment is "Mafia" in Season 6.

They really fucked up that character when Season 6 began. It got even worse when he became Mr. Manager.

The Carpet is really good. It really nails how lonely Michael is when he doesn't have wacky stuff going on in the Office.

Listening to that song was excruciating. I like cringe humor, but not when it's relentlessly depressing and cruel without being particularly funny. That's probably why I don't really like Phyllis's Wedding either.

I loved Toby's random laugh in that episode. It really made up for Michael pushing down his food tray earlier in the episode.

Mother Goose

that was adorable

"Secret secrets are no fun, secret secrets hurt someone." - the stripper who Michael bonds with in "Ben Franklin."

I'm happy the show never tried to create some kind of redemption arc for Todd Packer the way they did for Andy and other characters in the finale. Some people will forever be assholes.

Michael is the wild card, Dwight is the brains and the brawn and Jim is the looks.

The comedic actress who deserves the most Emmys is Kaitlin Olson, but unfortunately the Emmys hate It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
