It wasn't so much collapsed as collapsed and horribly burnt. Which is doubly impressive.

The reviewer is judging the show based on commonly accepted standards of TV and narrative writing. How exactly do you (or by extension the writers of Copper) have such a clear idea of the motivations thoughts and feelings of Five Points residents over a hundred years back? Its not as if we're drowning in comprehensive

Yeah I wish I had a clue where I ran across the info, I think it was a small section of an interview with some one who wasn't David Milch.

If memory serves the Deadwood guys looked into it, and found that almost all rough language at the time would have been built around blasphemy with liberal use of words that are considered the opposite of profane these days. So writing things accurately ended up sounding childish and funny rather than vulgar, and they

I believe its been discussed before. But toilet in the middle of the room is not entirely out of the realm of possibility for NYC real estate. My fried just moved to a place where the toilet is just hanging out in the middle of the bathroom, and you need to climb over it to get in the shower.

Yeah the whole "trike" thing has been hugely popular with older guys for a long while. Apparent'y Can Am's schtick is that putting the wheels in the front makes it less likely to flip. So safer AND its a totally bitching land jet ski.

I haven't seen either in a while. But the book and  the movies are about people  who owned the house after the DeFeo murders. I think it was the only newest flick loosely implied DeFeo was effected by the paranormal. Otherwise the murders are usually depicted as the cause of the haunting, not the other way around.

No every Irish Last named starts with O' or Mc. Even names that originally had the prefixes often had them dropped on arrive in the US. Bohannan for example is also an Irish name.

Well its a very nice house in a good neighborhood which is rather close to the water. Supposedly the current owners got a good deal because all the tourist attention was chasing other buyers away. Piece of property like that goes for millions in some parts of LI.

Not really. The locals find it all pretty annoying. And why should the owners embrace it? When was the last time you thought it was fun to have drunken teenagers poking around your property at all hours was beneficial.
