Deal!
Deal!
Yaaaaaaasssss
I love this take on it. One of the most frustrating things about the way the series wrapped up was not that there were loose ends or unexplained phenomena, but that a lot of character's motivations, especially Jacob's, didn't make sense in retrospect. Mostly this was obviously because the writers were making it up…
Are you hearing this? Pay attention to the 'shhs' and the 'mis'
I agree—I think the character work established so far means Sherlock needs a stronger reason to relapse than simply being taunted by a man he despises. Guilt or shame might be enough, but even if Sherlock felt responsible for putting Alfredo in danger, the shame he felt when he thought he might have committed murder…
Dear CBS,
I agree with Dennis' argument, though, because it's not just the
villain; the entire story is based on the idea that the superheroes had
to live in hiding because common people couldn't accept their
specialness (and, to be fair, because they also tended to cause a lot of
destruction with impunity, which was a fun wink…
The toll-booth apology might have been my favorite sequence so far. That, and the therapy-stealing that preceded it.
I always think of Carter on Person of Interest :(
I keep forgetting to post this on Tuesday or Wednesday's WOT when it would be more relevant, but is anyone else watching Weird Loners? I'm really enjoying it. I love it any time a new show nails the dynamic of, well, weird loners coming together, and manages to give them fresh and unique personalities as well as…
Awww I heard it wasn't getting renewed but didn't realize the end was coming so soon. I won't have time to catch up in time probably (I haven't watched since the mid-season break), but I fully endorse this request.
I do! I don't know if I have much to contribute besides unbridled enthusiasm, but it's just so much fun watching them this season. I only caught the highlights of last night's game, but the highlights were amazing enough. Salvy's run was pretty awesome. I don't think Moose was really safe at first, but it sounds…
I just got an email from the place I applied to on Sunday saying they want to schedule an in-person interview! Hooray!

I started The Girl on the Train after your recommendation. I think I'm going to like it. My reading this year has gotten off to a slow start so I need to find more books like this that will grab my attention.
Can we get him in that upcoming HBO comedy with Walton Goggins? How great would that be? I don't know if the show itself will be any good but I would just love to see those two sharing the screen.
Ugh, car issues are the worst. I had recurring expensive car problems last winter that threw me into an anxiety/insomnia loop (and I can relate to all your other fuckable shit, too). My sympathies.
Thanks (for the encouragement, and for the no-cliches policy). I am definitely going to have to work on my patience. My strategy for dealing with it before was just focusing on what I wanted to do for a living and hoping something would just happen when I wasn't looking. Actively looking and dealing with rejection…
Possibly! Do you work for a large healthcare-related company in middle America? If so, just know that I am very excited at the prospect of working for your company, I'm a hard worker, and I am definitely not checking the AV Club from work.
My two big personal advancement "projects"—trying to find a new, better-paying job and trying to start dating—have both hit walls, as a guy I was very interested in decided he just wants to be friends (and we met on OKCupid, so that was probably just a polite way of saying "we don't need to keep seeing each other")…
