Stop MONKeying around.
Stop MONKeying around.
There sort of was—the "Liz Lemon and TGS hate women!" episode with the female comedian.
I felt the same way about Fringe's fifth season—I'm glad they went for an ambitious reboot instead of re-treading old territory, but I agree that the Observers fit better in the background. The idea of old white guys in suits being omnipotent villains felt a bit lazy, as did the '40s-era clothing and hairstyles and…
Thanks!
Thanks! I just might do that. Hoping I'll find time to finish it soon.
Friday: Came home to find the seasons 2-4 DVDs of SOUTHLAND sitting at my back door, watched the first episode before going out for the night. I thought the second season started out slow, like a re-launch of the series (I'm thinking it aired after the writers' strike), but I'm excited to get through these and catch…
Yeah, I feel the same way. Though I do find a few laughs in each episode, even if they're not as memorable jokes as past seasons. In this last episode, for example, I loved the throwaway shot of Annie pulling her sweater over her chest after the professor's comment about an indiscretion with a co-ed.
THANK YOU! I'd forgotten quite how convoluted that storyline had become. It's like trying to keep track of the corporate shenanigans at Dunder Mifflin.
Is anyone else confused about the Dixie Mafia/Detroit connection? I could have sworn, from last season, that Quarles was with the Dixie Mafia, who are based in Frankfurt, correct? And Theo Tonin was Quarles' boss, ergo he is the head of the Dixie Mafia? But in this episode, I believe Art referred to "Deputy Doom"…
Yeah I was really hoping for Cassie to turn out to be the Big Bad this season. Her death-ray glares at Boyd were awesome, and I liked the switcheroo of setting up her brother to be the antagonist only to have him die. But now it seems like there was no point to that story other than to give Boyd a chance to get back…
Oh God, I know one or the other has to happen, but I won't be able to take it. I love them both too much.
And am I wrong, or was Ava waggling her ring finger until Raylan noticed? That was perfect.
Yeah, it kind of looked like after Art broke the news to Raylan, Tim got up to talk to Art, probably to ask what was up…then a split-second later, he was back to listening again. Very weird.
I kind of wondered why Raylan didn't just unload on his father when he had the chance. I mean, I get that he's trying to be the bigger man and move past it, but he needs to let that rage OUT. I think he would have been entirely justified in pulling the plug (presuming Arlo was on life support, I didn't actually see…
I know, right? It made sense to me when I heard it, but I probably wouldn't have guessed it until this episode, when it was made blindingly obvious. But now I don't get to feel all smart an' stuff for figuring it out myself.
Another giant anvil this episode telegraphing that Shelby is Drew Thompson: the charm depicting St. Christopher, patron saint of, among other things, pilots.
And I loved that Raylan saved Boyd's life and neither one so much as comments on it. They are the best.
So THAT'S why I'm paying for Hulu Plus! Thanks for the heads up!
Same here! I might check out prices for plane tickets to NY now…just because I can.
Prince Caspian FTW!
