I was disappointed that AV Club didn't continue reviewing the show here for season two, but after the way season two turned out, perhaps that was for the best.

There definitely should have been more sex scenes with Jesse. I think we only ever saw him bang Wendy. Wendy!!
Hey, buddy, he's the President, and You're Not.
This was one of my favorite moments in the film.
I never got around to watching that one. Is it really that good? I do love me some Patrick Fugit.
That story was finished. Soderdbergh's pitch was that a third (possibly fourth) season would come back as a new incarnation, in a new time period. Obviously, that didn't float anyone's boats.
the number of people still holding out hope that The Knick would rise again on Cinemax is presumably quite small. Yeah, we're small but we were great. I loved the conversation that would develop on here post-show. This is terrible news, but I guess I half expected it. Oh, well, at least I know Andre Holland will be…
I'm really looking forward to this
Exactly. Dickhead started tweeting after Breitbart posted a story from Mark Levin's rants about Obama's "silent coup". That a sitting President is getting his "news" from basement dwelling conspiracy theorist nutjobs who host radio talk shows is fucking insane.
I had nightmares about it for months. Creepy af.
Trevante Rhodes is a stunning, stunning man.
Oh, yeah, Near Dark was a favorite. He was great in that, as was Lance Henrikson. I think I may have seen it many years after its release, though.
Some awesome lines being shared here, but seriously, this sucks. The first time I truly noticed him was in Weird Science. I cannot believe how my opinion of him changed over the course of a few decades. One of his roles that I found really compelling was as the religious nut father in Frailty - a film Paxton also…
It was a hipster's idea of a musical, like Chazelle spent a weekend watching An American In Paris and thought, "I can do that!". The choreography looked practiced and the songs themselves were about nothing. I agree that they should have gone with some stronger performers in the lead.
I just finished watching. I thought I'd never get to leave the damn theatre. While I wouldn't say I hated it, I do not consider this a Best Picture film. I don't think it was even worthy of a nomination. Were the pickings really that slim?
EEeeeeee!! I am fangirling this shit up. I can hardly wait.
Breaking Bad was a dangerous set! There was also that time that Raymond Cruz knocked Aaron Paul through a door so hard he gave him a concussion!
"With a pencil!" got a big laugh out of me.
Just got back and the hall of mirrors setpiece is a stunner for sure. Some shades of Skyfall in there, with that fight at the top of the skyscraper, but it was lusciously done.
Well, I know what I'm doing this weekend.
