I'm still peeved by their continued use of the English 'earl' as opposed to the Norse 'jarl'. That said, I like the show overall. I think it's distinct enough from Game of Thrones or Spartacus to merit continued patronage.

Maybe the reviewer hated that Britta was cast as anything more than a needlessly defiant, counterculture wannabe? Maybe he was so used to Britta being the worst that he can't accept her as an actual human being with good traits to balance out the pretense?

In a lot of ways, this felt like a true Community episode.
