And not to jinx it or anything, but people have more or less stopped firsting, or at least they try to be clever about it.

They also have to be careful not to bump into the money they owe, because they still owe it money.  Awkward.

Who's making fun?  I thought it sounded intriguing at the least.  I don't think many bands could pull it off but they have enough musicianship to potentially find lots of different approaches to the same song.

Thanks for the input.  Now it's just going to come down to ticket prices.

I like the story about how Dave Van Ronk was always pissed after Dylan started doing this song, because people thought he was covering Dylan.  Then the Animals came out with their version, and all of a sudden people thought Dylan was covering them.

OK, has anybody on here ever seen them play more than one show on the same tour?  I could pull it off and I'm tempted but if they are one of those bands that plays the exact same set list every night I don't know if it would be worth it.  (I'm looking at you, New Pornographers.)

It seems like as bands get bigger their itineraries get weirder.  If you're in a van booking it yourself geography is more of a factor but when someone offers to fly you to Australia for a festival I guess you just got for it.

Macdonald Hall!  It's all coming back to me.  Good call.  I'm going to have to track those down and read them to my daughter.

Is Bruno and Boots the two kids at boarding school who are always getting into trouble?  If that's the one I'm thinking of, I loved those.

Is it that they weren't chosen, or just that they were smart enough to stay miles away from this?

"I know what we're going to do today!" -AV club staff after reading this comment, I wish.

I wonder how old/sick you have to be before they write up an outline for your obituary, just to have it ready to go.

Yes.  I remember being so relieved whenever one came up, because they offered some respite from the motion sickness brought on byt all that shaking.

That could potentially be the worst gimmick account of all time.

Good point.  Could also be interpreted as seeking revenge.  I wonder if those naked photos of her on his phone might come back into play at some point if she keeps pressing on this.

I hadn't thought of it in those terms but you're right, that's exactly what this show is missing.  The teachers union guy was a good one for a little bit except that it never really seemed like Underwood actually cared about the education bill on its merits, he just wanted to deliver something to the president in

I didn't get the feeling that it was about anything ethical.  She's always just been about trying to get whatever scoops she can, and if she can't get them from Frank, maybe she can get them about Frank.

Some poor intern probably had to watch the whole movie again just to identify the 5 seconds of footage where anyone is shown smiling.

I can see the appeal if you have a long commute or something, but other than that, I don't get it.  What are you supposed to do with the rest of your senses?  Just stare off into space?

That's mine, for sure.  I was always skeptical, but when everybody was dissatisfied by the ending AND it turned out to be some kind of allegory for how important faith is, I was extra glad I never wasted the time.
