Who knows, maybe they just enjoy every monster movie made in the 1930s and therefore don't consider that trend regrettable.

Have they done a Flops article on the Golden Compass movie?  There could be an interesting story about how that ended up being such a fiasco. 
Also, that was kind of neat to watch the original Star Wars trailer and try to imagine what the reaction to it would have been before all the hype grew up around it.

I love this band to pieces.  I'm the only one of my friends who does, so I think it's safe to say it's not about hype for me, just music that I have really connected with on a personal level.  My four year old daughter likes them as well, and I don't think she cares what Pitchfork thinks.
