I think of Coppola's Dracula movie as one of the best failures I've ever seen. There is a lot of the movie that doesn't work - from Hopkins' going over-the-top to Reeves being absolutely wooden - but you get the feeling Coppola is going for broke here, he's trying anything, and he's not camping up the material or

If you were going to pick a 1992 James Woods movie to watch/get, it should have been "Diggstown". Now THAT'S a movie.

Uh, no.

It is interesting to see all of the great character actors and also "before-they-were-famous" on the show, like Claire Danes and Lauren Ambrose being in a episode about a photographer who gets murdered, or the great raspy-voiced Mark Margolis as the guy who shoots Paul Sorvino (he's also in a couple of later

Anyone here watch the show "MYOB"? It was a mid-season replacement show created by Don Roos ("The Opposite of Sex"), and it starred Lauren Graham (she did this right before "Gilmore Girls"), and one of the running gags of the show was how L&O was on every hour on the hour - and this was back in the late 90's (when A&E

One of my favorite examples of the moral grey area of the early years was the episode where a little girl gets kidnapped, and it turns out the mother did it because she though the father was molesting the daughter (also the father now had a much younger girlfriend). I'm sure there were people who watched that episode

The strange thing is, I liked her on Angel, and thought she'd be a good addition to the show, but she was so, so bland on L&O.

There's also; if the detectives are talking to a suspect at their home, and a family member comes in, 9 times out of 10, that family member will be (a) the murderer, or (b) figure into the murder.

It was Lenny and Logan, actually. Michael Moriarty only appears briefly near the end, and this being not long after he criticized Janet Reno for criticizing violence on TV, he claimed NBC was out to silence him by cutting his screen time.

The first half hour of the Patty Hearst movie is amazing. The rest of it is a little more hit and miss, but it remains one of the best films about that time period, and it's one of Natasha Richardson's best performances.
