I cannot believe this episode got such a high rating and people seem to love it - the show seemed like it was just phoning it in.  Almost every joke was extremely low brow and often just a weird sight gag, the exceptions being the "kid" joke and the Don Draper and Megan to Sally and Glenn joke.

I've only read the first book, so I can't really comment on its quality versus the quality of the second and third, but I can comment on its quality.  It is a bad novel, mediocre at best.  There is little/no consistent characterization, no character development, a lot of sexism (rarely overt), some weird lovey-dovey…
