Completely agreed. I think the show is at its best when it plays Dipper and Mabel off each other, giving them roughly equal time, and I didn't care for how it played Dipper's pursuit of Wendy against the main plot this time. Simultaneously too predictable and not all that believable or, frankly, necessary for the plot

It's first incarnation struck me as Slenderman. His post-Soos run over design was much more than a no-Face vibe, though. Rampage-mode Trickster was identical, as far as I could tell, to the rampaging No-Face in Spirited Away.

Very funny episode, but I admit I found Dipper's arrangement of priorities a little more irritating than amusing. It's one thing when his feelings for Wendy are used to look honestly at adolescent feelings and frustration. It's anther when they provide an arbitrary and altogether unbelievable challenge to the primary

This is my Soos appreciation post. Dude was on fire in this episode. We saw him take a stand against the injustice of shortness puns. We saw his big heart as he worried about accidentally hurting Dipper's feelings. We saw his dreams for the future, when he will undoubtedly turn the Mystery Shack into a tacky tourist

Headhunters has my single favorite Mabel line of the show so far. "He's resting."

I thought the Lemongrab plot was only a fraction as interesting as Ricardio's return. I do agree that this episode had some splendid jokes and visual gags. I particularly loved Jake's transformation from a medieval weapons armory to a flower when PB told them they were taking a non-violent route.

I don't agree that it's a constant problem, but I definitely thought this episode was a bit half-baked. It didn't seem thought out storywise beyond having Lemongrab return and acting creepy.

After that episode, I assumed that on her birthday, rather than blow out candles she chews a ceremonial, agefying piece of Hubba Bubba.

Lest we forget, they fucking explode if they get scared. It's a miracle that the candy people managed to produce someone to lead them who walk upright and fix her own hair, let alone a science genius.
