Good call out about the beat. I really love the production on that one.

By this measure, any unlikely event is ironic. Is it ironic anytime a plane crashes just because the chance of dying in a plane crash is small? I think you need a heightened expectation that the plane wouldn't crash for it to be ironic, which I don't think the man being scared to fly meets.

I don't think most of those qualify as ironic, from my understanding. I don't think there's enough of an expectation that there not be rain on your wedding day. Weather is relatively unpredictable. You'd have to plan an outdoor wedding in the desert for the purpose of not having it rain. Then, if it rains, it's ironic.

All That Jazz is one of my favorite movies of all time, and that opening sequence is indeed fantastic. I was always partial to the finale.
