@avclub-920530cb8744c679e3a2ece84f1d5ce4:disqus How can you insist he's top 5? I just gave you numbers that show he's the 9th best hitter and well below average defensively. Plus, he's 14th in WAR, squarely middle of the pack. But since you bring up clutch, as all Jeter backers do, let's look at WPA. He's 7th…
What Pepe Sylvia said.
As a history nerd, I enjoyed the fact that The Simpsons was doing their take on "The Return of Martin Guerre."
It's completely possible to count cards even with 7 decks, you just have to adjust your count to a "true count". There are two problems with it though:
@ Lt. Broccoli and Miller

"The Electric Kool-Aid Acid Test" makes it seem that the main purpose of the trip was to meet Leary, as a summit of the LSD leaders from both coasts. I don't even remember anything particular about the pranksters being in NYC.
Well, both their first albums came out in 2003, though I guess you could say that Stone was a little more famous in the US. Probably not in the UK though (where each debut went 3x platinum…. hmmm, I wonder if any people bought both albums).
The premise is no more ridiculous than any other alien invasion movie. Nothing says that aliens have to invade in the present. Considering that they come from an unrelated world (with an unrelated timeline of technological development), it's equally as plausible that they'd invade during the Renaissance as they…
I like the beat a lot. Using the vocal sample as almost a percussive instrument is nice, and has its roots in '60's funk. I also like all the sample turns from chopped up to smooth. That's a cool transition. I had no problem hearing the verses over the sample, but it could be turned down a little.
For me, discussing the value of the system is probably more interesting than trying to list the bands that qualify.

I never really cared for Mr. Jones when it was first out, but I heard it a while back while on a road trip and enjoyed it because it made me think of the movie "Harvey." That song is much more enjoyable if you think of Mr. Jones as a giant, imaginary rabbit.
I checked out the KSK articles. They're terrible. They're not funny, and most of the points they make are irritating rather than insightful.
Wasn't it part of Pixar's distribution deal with Disney that they had to do a certain number of sequels?
I think Quarky makes a good point. I've been wondering the same thing myself, though I don't think this necessarily applies to reviewers for larger publications. I just think that a lot of people (maybe including the non-top critics on rotten tomatoes), have been waiting for a chance to trash a Pixar film.
The question remains if Bale will be able to match the method performance given by Donald Duck.
I'm not a big rereader, but I tend to go back to books where I really just enjoyed spending time with the characters. So, my number one is probably "Tortilla Flat" by Steinbeck.
