I liked Floki's reaction to the losses suffered at sea; as a ship builder, his craft is wholly predicated on making things that can withstand the elements. But as a deeply religious man, he is shaken when faced with his own fallibility as a mortal going up against the gods' wills.

The thing is, he's been portrayed these last couple of episodes as so conflicted between his new life and his old faith, and the guilt he feels for being a part of the Viking lifestyle, that I almost got the sense he was, deep down, welcoming of the crucifixion. He wasn't ready to die, but he probably couldn't think

Notice how he abandoned the show and began to denounce it right around the time his character was trying to bang Miley Cyrus? Just a coincidence, I'm sure…

It's a STARZ show…produced by Michael Bay…

Killing Gates off was kind of surprising for me, in that he is a good actor, but the second he sided against Flint his fate was sealed. Like I said in another recap, every version of "Treasure Island" I've ever seen has gone to great lengths to point out how powerful and ruthless Captain Flint was; this was

Either Hannibal is going to cook up Crawford's wife after she dies and serve her to him, thus being a major cause for their fight scene, or I have a sick mind.

If this is a hit, I can't wait for their next series: "Calabasas," a primetime drama about a clan of wealthy, attention-seeking young women who try to make it big in fashion and entertainment despite no discernible talents, all led by their power-hungry mother and transgender father.

This guy is already on TV, it's just that on "Black Sails," he's called Jack Rackham and for some reason, he's British.

I would like to present the NBC/Heroes Ouroboros:

His next companion should be a gruff old police detective, possibly with as mustache, who's only 5 days from retirement

Oh, black people…always a Doctorsmaid, never a Doctor…

Are we sure this isn't just fodder for "Seduced and Abandoned 2"? Sequels are in right now!

Damn, AV Club was like, the only place still covering Revolution. Now where will I go to read snarky comments about it for the 5 episodes (or less) it has before death?

You do realize this is a show on STARZ, produced by MICHAEL BAY, right?

No Island flashbacks. No Roy. Minimal Sebastian Blood and Thea. And I can honestly say, the show was better for it.

I can see the potential in this show. It's definately hitting the same "Piracy is dying" theme that was all throughout Pirates of the Carribean 3, with Flint wanting to build an army and a nation-state, the British slowly closing in, etc. I would say this show has elements of "Game of Thrones" with the warring clans,

I remember, as a kid, standing in line for this while the monitors above played footage from inside the operating room of Michael Jackson's nose surgery, I kid you f'ing not.

2 problems; 1) they're still trying to hold onto their stupid "No magic" mantra and 2) Marvel won't let them get within a mile of anything to do with Thanos or future movie plots or themes (I keep waiting form them to bring up the "corrupt S.H.I.E.L.D" theme Capt. America 2 is about)

I hope we get Ike, as the shortest of the not-Lead recurring characters, spouting off one-liners in his little kid voice, ala Tyrion Lannister. They could also throw in some religious parody into this thing with some Lord of Light quotes ("The night is dark and full of terrors", etc).
Having the kids all dress up as

The whole "marriage for land and drilling rights" thing reminded me of Dwight's rural culture, like dating a girl so her dad can get a co-signer for a tractor, and marriage combining farms.
