Also, the offending remarks were also made under the influence, which I believe is unfair to attach to the guy five years later. If I had a tape recorder rolling every time I got shitfaced, I think I probably would shock myself with some of the things that came out of my mouth. It probably wouldn't be pretty.

I really that truly, deep down he's not nearly as anti-semitic as critics/media would lead you to believe — or remind you unnecessarily as Phipps kindly didn't do here but I've seen in at least three different articles I've read today.

I'm actually kind of interested in seeing this.
Mel's a really talented dude and eminently watchable actor. Good to see he's starting to get over some of his demons (alcoholism, manic depression) and starting to work again.

Gus Van Sant

What a fucking reatard.

Fortunately I didn't have the same experience watching them support Grizzly Bear in Columbia Mo…but her getup that night was the weirdest- white cowboy boots and a jacket with such gigantic shoulder pads she looked like a football player.

Isn't that just precious!

I gave their album a few spins but I can't bring myself to listen to them again. I thought they were okay, but the shrieking vocals are grating/annoying on repeated listens.

Teen Dream kind of reminds me of Fleetwood Mac, and that's one of the main reasons I love it. Great album (so much so that I actually bought it).

Ummm, so I'm going to come right out and say it. That's amazing.

Oh me too. I love Brazil. Some of his recent films, not so much. I didn't mean for it to be a disparaging remark but with Avatar backlash fresh in my memory the comparison seems apt. Both are incredibly ambitious and visually masterful, but they have a tendency to not care about similar things.

I got the same impression, Iggy Pop.

Terry Gilliam = The Indie/Hipster James Cameron
Beautiful movies, technically amazing but with questionable stories. Or in Gilliams case for several films in his filmography, to make a piece of art that is nearly incomprehensible when you try to piece together the narrative.

Yes.

Besides, has anyone actually heard Murray say he doesn't like Harold Ramis? I know many go by Ramis' interview on this website, but I myself have had times where I believe others' perception of me is much different than it actually is. Perhaps Murray was like "Yeah Harold you were a dick on Groundhog Day but I respect

Lone Audience, I think Mark-Paul Gosselaar would be a terrific left-field casting choice. Also liked the Colin Hanks nod.

Bottom line: I'd rather have a new Ghostbusters than a Spiderman IV/Spiderman Rebooted/whatever is going on right now with that franchise.

With or without Murray, I'm all over this. If they can get the new blood to have any of the chemistry of the old guard, this could make for an AWESOME rebooted series.

We should keep this going; we could have a pilot for a procedural cop drama finished by midnight.
