Yeah, it's in the same vein as the 'one more day to retirement' cop movie/show trope.

The army guy that just wants to get home to his family, after this one last mission. Of course he's the first one to die.

For a very brief time, I worked at the Amazon fulfillment warehouse in Fernley, NV. My first day on the job, I was amazed how many sex toys people order from amazon. During my time there, I'd say about 25% of the orders I packed had a dildo or fake vag in it.

"But…a car could be blue!"

"Wait a minute, hold the phone. A car could be… yes a car COULD be blue! You both win! You both double your orphans!"

The music licensing issue really harms some of the skits. The "Pants" skit just isn't the same without The Breeders' "Cannonball" as the music. It's still funny, but it's that silly little bassline that really brings the thing together.

Sandwich Feet. Sandwich Feet is my favorite.

Swinging Utters is a band that for some reason I never checked out. I've heard some of their stuff on comps. The one song that I loved - can't remember the name of it, but the chorus goes, "I never wanna walk alone/ I'm never gonna see the sun come up / and it's all because of you!"

Now that I've typed out the lyrics,

Monsula! I only know of them because I took an English Lit. Critical Theory course from their guitarist at UVSC.

It really wasn't his imagination.

I didn't watch Malcom regularly, but my favorite episode that I watched is when Hal teaches Malcom to skate. Bryan Cranston in spandex skate-dancing to "Funky Town" is a goddamn treasure.

Macklemore and Ryan Lewis tied each other for popularity in each of those states?

But, it had a donkey that wanted to eat waffles! SUBVERSIVE.

My state loves Ciara. And Cialis.

Huh, I was thinking it was maybe Garth Hudson from The Band.

Nope, not being sarcastic. And I wasn't trying to troll either. I'm just lamenting my lack of awareness. The sad fact is I was a suburban kid that grew up with the idea the MTV provided me with the full breadth of worthy music to listen to.
Also, is there any way to put spaces between paragraphs in Disqus?

I think I just wasn't aware enough. I mean, I finished HS in '95, but I my musical sensibilities at the time were mostly focused on Epitaph bands, The Beatles and The Grateful Dead. My friends were all pretty insular in their musical tastes and I pretty much followed suit in order to feel a part of the group. Well,

Man, sometimes I read articles on here about music and just think: I'm getting too damn old to spend time figuring out who these people are.
I mean, I almost feel guilty that I have no idea who any of the people/bands are that are mentioned in this article - and that's probably how it is for 75% of the music articles

Pretty much looks like the love child of Bruce Vilanch and Danny Bonaduce.

Yeah, it is like they took "Cat's in the Cradle" and somehow made it even more maudlin and sad. It's so strange looking back at talk shows like this and trying to understand the nature of being a 'celebrity' through the ages.
Just so odd.

Oh man that is a terrible theme song on that pilot. Also, I made the mistake of doing an image search for him - he's aged about as well as could be expected (not well - though he's still got the pageboy cut).
