I think that's why the Heretics are being treated as so dangerous. With Katherine or Klaus or Silas, there was something specific they wanted, so our characters could use that as leverage against them. The Heretics just seem to want to hang out and kill anyone they feel like, so there's not really much they can do to

"of course they would somehow use Bonnie’s magic and Matt’s ability to be the world’s worst person at saying no"

I'm gonna go with the theory that, since the characters live in a superhero universe, they don't have access to the decades of superhero comics that our own universe has (like how no one in The Walking Dead has ever heard of zombie movies before). As a result, certain sci-fi ideas like parallel universes didn't get

The Cisco/Stein friendship may be my new favorite thing about this show.

At some point on this shoe or Arrow, I want someone to be tracking the bad guy's movements via computer, then tell the hero, "He's heading for the abandoned warehouse district!"

But everyone knows that Roy Harper was the Arrow! Though, granted, they never did figure out how putting on the costume somehow made him about eight inches taller.

I'd love it if it turns out Eobard-Wells is actually LESS of an evil creep than original recipe Wells.

It probably doesn't help that Cisco's first use of his power was remembering his own, gruesome death.

The only thing between him and us is a thin layer of gabardine.

Broadcast network, cable channel ratings! That's the CW motto.

I'd say Season 10 is the last classic season. Granted, in Season 9 you start getting some kinda lame episodes that indicate where the show's heading (next week's, with Moe's girlfriend and the car insurance plot, is the first), but it's not till Season 11 that those become the show's norm, rather than an occasional

Do George Carlin routines technically count as jokes? I thought the deal was he was just a grumpy old man who'd ramble on about everything he hates for a while, and for some reason people would pay to see it.

I think the deal is that the Heretics lack the self-control to keep a low profile. No matter where they go, they're probably gonna repeat all this gruesome spectacle stuff the instant someone pisses them off. Giving them what is, essentially, a quarantine zone keeps that from happening.

That was my point; while waiting for Katherine, he banged a bunch of other chicks, so it wouldn't be surprising if he did the same while waiting for Elena.
Then again, it's not like Katherine was the poster-girl for monogamy herself.

Well, it's what he did while he was waiting for Katherine to be released. I do like that the episode recognized that this is the SECOND time Damon has been in this situation.

Technically, a C+ is still above average.

Don't worry Carrie, Matt forgives you. Forgiving people who done him wrong is sort of a Matt Donovan trademark.

"Their motivation is definitely poorly thought out, which made Stefan's bomb idea so strange. Why would you need to murder a group of people that have done absolutely nothing to hurt anyone?"

No one's really taken the deaths of strangers seriously on this show for a long while. After the first few seasons, they've all become pretty jaded.

This episode may surpass that Superbowl episode of Alias for fastest moving episode of a serialized TV show EVER.
