I think that if the information she provides is instrumental in exposing the resident spy program the Soviets have been involved with, that it could dramatically reduce her punishment. I hope.

I hope it doesn't go on past 5 seasons. I love this story so much and don't want to see it go into decline.
"This makes the second episode to show Martha popping a daily pill, and I don’t recall the show every mentioning some kind of chronic condition she’s dealing with. Unless I’ve forgotten a detail (which is entirely possible with this show), that ought to pop up soon."
You couldn't be any more Chuck at the moment. Right is right and I am right, and I am super right in my rightness! That's a lonely row to hoe, Chuck.
I think you're right about quite a lot. The law doesn't mean that much to Jimmy. He's already offered to give it up and walk away if Chuck would just stop being so horrid. Kim is what matters to him. Chuck wants to destroy the thing that matters most to Jimmy. When he gives her that tape, (and he will) she will be…
"It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it." But everyone carry on with your pitchforks and torches. BURN THE WITCH!
That's in the preamble of the Declaration of Independence.
I don't think we were "tricked" into thinking Walt was a good man in the beginning. One of the main themes of BB was transformation, and we see Walt and even Hank and Skyler as well, presented with multiple opportunities to choose a more decent, legal, or noble road. And so this theme of choosing a path and what road…
My take on their relationship is that it has been on again/off again for many years. They've known each other for a very long time, and they've likely been involved since the mailroom days. I think that's why there is such a lived-in quality to their relationship.
My guess is for next season's finale.
Ooo, those are excellent questions I hadn't considered. The downing of 007 and the death of such a lovely person in Elizabeth's life (even though she's a source she's trying to cultivate- or something) could be the turning point in her unquestioning dedication to the USSR- in the same way as the deaths' of Nina and…
I agree with your assessment, also, I think Kim wanted to have a chance to call Chuck on his petty bullshit and essentially say "Look, Jimmy is the type of guy who could go either way, and all your ego driven, envious power plays aren't helping him walk a straighter path."
Fargo season 2
Sure, there's a lot to like about Jimmy, and when you love someone, accepting their flaws is part of the deal. Jimmy is the type of guy who could have gone either way, and we know which way he goes. But Kim doesn't.
Of course Saul would pay the copy guy off first. Saul learned from Jimmy's mistakes!
Kim wants to believe her love and character can make Jimmy *want* to be straight and narrow. It can't. She wants to believe her judgement is sound, and her faith in him will pay dividends. It won't.
Oh heavens to Betsy, AVC is now super tetchy about certain words, but not certain content. SO let's try this again with the bad words infantilized for the pearl clutchers….
And yet, people managed to hate Flynn or Ted without using dehumanizing qualifiers, or by casting aspersions on their looks, or trying to devalue them as humans by using language specifically designed to do all those things. Language such as: c*nt, bitch, harpy, shrew, hag, whore, crazy, etc.
You're right. That's not…
Yeah, I was here for that whole ugly mess. The rank misogyny, the angry man tantrums about her changing looks and fluctuating weight; there were screeds about her ingratitude and shrewishness, the ugly names they called her, the disparaging of her womanhood and how goddamn dare she have thoughts and feelings and fears…
Heil Kitler!
