There was symbolism going on with numbers I haven't figured out yet. The 33 on the Beeman's door, the mention of Belushi dying at 33, and the 35 on Gaad's door. Also, that was clearly a mourning shrine. The mirror above the mantle was covered which would indicate a recent death.
Conversely, can't you get your head around the fact that many of these criticisms are completely valid?
If the writers would take five minutes to think about those things, this would be a compelling show full of insight into the human psyche, not the hatewatch that it is.
