Read the whole thing, and loved it! I genuinely laughed out loud in a few places, and I feel like I just watched a real episode.

They've (sort of) gone that direction before, like in "When You Wish Upon a Weinstein." Admittedly, that was a different era, when the show had better writers and some restraint. Usually they seem to end up somewhere between an after school special and this episode, with Peter learning his lesson but with a bunch of

It certainly was not progressive, but I feel like I've seen the "close-minded sitcom/cartoon character makes Muslim friend, worries said friend is terrorist, and learns heartwarming lessons about prejudice and diversity on the way to discovering he is not" plot done too many times in the past ten years. God, I could listen to her say "dick" all day.

I know you're making a point about the show's decrease in quality, but I would enjoy this episode.

I pretty much agree. Villain Andy is satisfying, but in a cartoonish way. I liked Happy-Go-Lucky Andy well enough and was even optimistic when he got the manager position, but as you said, there just wasn't enough to him to sustain that, and within a few episodes I badly wanted him to go away.

Though I didn't really care for the episode, it's been nice to see the writers bring Andy down to a level that lets me justify my contempt of him for the last couple seasons.

My favorite episode of the season so far gets the lowest grade of the season so far? I feel like I'm bad at watching TV.
